Filmed prior to the rise of the occupy movement Generation OS13 sought to ask musicians, artists, authors and journalist what had happened to the western dream. They were no longer portraying an idealistic vision of society but that of a fragmented and apathetic society ruled by mass media, pop and phony money. Framing the media moguls, corrupt governments and the banking system the documentary explores these issues to explain why ‘you can not count on the law makers to see shit when it first happens‘.
