I think its kinda sad actually. I feel bad for the people in gangs. And I feel bad for the people who have to live with it. Where I live in DC MS13 isnt really predominant and to tell you the truth I could care less. But almost 6 years ago when I was 13 years old my mom and dad forced me to move to El Salvador because my dad was deported, because he infact was an MS13 gang member in LA. Where we lived in Ciudad Delgado is really dangerous. I lived there for almost 4 years, I’ve seen everything there is to see. I’ve seen friends killed right before my eyes. And i’ve seen people die who have nothing to do with gangs. I honestly don’t think people who claim to be MS13 here in the US have any idea what its like to live in the real deal. Down there it is crazyyyyyyy! I lived in whats called the “linea” its a rail road track that does what its exactly called, “the line” it divided the territory between 18 and MS13, i lived in the middle of it. I lived a modern day war zone. Nothing here in the US is quite like whats going on in El Salvador. I take this as no joke. I made friends with gang members, because they are people too and they deserve friendship, but don’t get too close to a person because they might be gone the next hour or it might get you into problems! And i have friends who I went to school with down there and they also joined the gangs. Its sad to lose friends to that. I wish there was something we could do. They have lost control. If you guys wanna have gangs then thats fine, kill each other, between rival gangs, but dont kill the innocent people. Kill your enemies if you want, but dont kill my friends and family because we have nothing to do with any of that. Gang life is a hard life to live, but so is living in a neighborhood that has to deal with the gutta life everyday. Its ridiculous. We have to find a solution.
