Secrets of Body Language: What non-verbal communication reveals
Consisting of body posture, gestures, eye movements and facial expressions, the body language is the most important form of nonverbal communication. The way someone walks, talks or even shakes hands can reveal a lot about the person without him or her wanting it. Body language can even elicit secrets or be an indicator for aggression, pleasure, amusement and many more.
On the one hand John Borg confirms that 93% of our communication is made up by body language and paralinguistic cues, only 7% are words themselves. On the other, Albert Mehrabia says that this is an incorrect interpretation of the statistic.
However, other findings show, that around 60 to 70% of all meaning is deduced from non-verbal behavior.
