The Taj Mahal in India is one of the seven wonders of the world and was built in 1632 by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. Every year over three million tourists visit this architectual materpiece. It was originally built as a tomb for Mumtaz Mahal, wife of Shah Jahan. She died in 1631 after giving birth to her 14th child. It took two decades to build it and over 20,000 workers from Persia Europa and the Ottoman Empire had to work to finish it.
